Hi Joanna,

Thank you for sharing your experience — it was very enlightening for me. I hear you and it is such a tough place to be in. I feel your pain. I’m pretty sure I had PTSD around my whole situation due to the confusion and dealing with someone who I feel has a BPD of some kind. It was very traumatizing and I had so much to work through. Now that it’s been a number of months I have gained a lot of peace and clarity. I have strong boundaries and will not let myself get sucked into the drama of someone’s life like that again. I 100% own how I showed up and take responsibility for any damage I caused by ending things so suddenly. I know now that it was best to get out of that friendship, as it was very unhealthy and toxic as it was, and I pray that one day there can be forgiveness and reconciliation. The door has been opened to that recently and I hope it continues to open up more in a healthy way. I think communication is key in these situations — ghosting isn’t helpful (even though it can make us believe we can avoid further pain) and it often results in even more hurt feelings. When open honest responsible communication happens there can be healing and forward movement. Praying your situation gets resolved and that you find peace and love within it.

Sending love your way,

Alana
